Ann 60/100 - Ken

This is a shot I shouldn't have even tried. Disastrous light. Mind you it would have been better if he had had his eyes open. But I'd had such a good conversation with Ken, who is a volunteer tourist information person at Adelaide airport, while I was waiting for my bus that I really wanted to try. The one with his eyes open is so dark you can hardly see him. I did take some good ones later - honestly.

Light can be annoying at times, oui? Like last night, that blasted setting sun!

You are consistently getting your horizontal with the subject on one side now. Nice clarity on this one and yet again the colour range is cohesive.

I can't bear to be away! (staying with the grandboy overnight so get to log in when he's sleeping!)

Dont beat yourself up too much Ann, with some flash and/or some post processing it would have been fine.

I think you are also trying things that you didn't before, which has raised the bar for you!

Me? I'm just scared to go out now in case I fail! ;-)

I know this is off topic, but the lines on his face are all the lines of a nice guy with pleasant expressions. And look how gentle his mouth is. Then I scrolled down to look at Maurice again.

Not really off topic ... when Ann and I finally met IRL the other day, we talked about some of the things we had learnt from this project - and we had learnt a lot about people.

It comes back to that hoary old chestnut: nature or nurture. Some people are born sour and mean-spirited and spend a life-time begrudging others. When you get to your 80s it shows ...
