Beautiful Théspina let me fuss around her, making her move outside from the bar she was in so that I could get some shots. The artificial light was difficult to work with but the flash was horrible so in the end I thought I would prefer motion blurs to the glare of the in-built flash.

Yep ... that is the decision I make each and every time: rarely take flash. Just need to learn more about how to compensate for the poor light. Still painful when things go pear-shaped ...
Not bad, I rather like the way the colours have come out.
I've been taking hand held night shots at ISO 1600 with the new lens. Haven't looked at them on the computer yet but I wouldn't be able to do it at all with the big lens.
