Ann - Rocks Market 2

Compositionally, this was a really good idea - that didn't work. I was trying to get the vendor, the customer and her reflection. I wanted the vendor in focus, not so much the customer. F5.6, 1/40.

You needed to duck-pond it, m'dear!

Excellent concept though ... even as it is there is so much to see in this image and the colours are so compatible. I like the neckline of that haircut.

There must have been a reason why I didn't duckpond, I think she had other people crowding round her on that side and with this lens I couldn't stand back and zoom in, I needed to be this close. I don't think I'll use this one much in the day, its not versatile enough. Just use it for night and museums etc.

I think it harks back to the pickle I got myself into with shot 50. I needed to take a step to the right to get a better angle, but that would have dropped me into the murky waters of Centennial Park.

Note to file: Don't forget to pack the waders.

Thought I had a 50/1.8 lens teed up, but the bloke decided to keep it. I've managed for two years without, so another won't hurt I guess.

One more (fitful) sleep!

But the Daily will run till I get home at least!
