This one is in the too hard basket. Had trouble with the exposure because of the light and shade and also the point of focus. Tried longer apertures but they were all too dark. These 2 are the best. By the way, those things that look good enough to eat are soaps. F8, 1/80

Light like this is such a challenge. I think the way to cope is simply to avoid. Take either the person or the product. Or move around until the contrast between the two is reduced AMAP.
I think here, too, your composition lets you down a bit. The couple in the background are neither in focus nor blurred enough. They intrude ... to me they are intrusive.
I HATE soaps like that. Can't wash with them and if you leave them in the bathroom they absorb moisture and become a soggy mess!!
I agree, it would have been easier just to take her or the soaps. As it was the soaps that caught my eye I should have just concentrated on them.
I can only agree with you both!
