Ann 19/100 - Tona

Tona (pr Tonay) is one of those people of whom you can't take a bad photo. On holiday from California, it was her first day in Sydney. She was very surprised to hear that it had been 40 degrees the day before. I like this one but its a little washed out.

I can't choose! Each has it's own merit, I think if the background had been different I may have preferred the more serious expression, but I can't be sure!

I like the one chosen because of the curves in the glasses and the cap! Normally I get disappointed with sunglasses shots but with the shape and the reflection, the sunnies here do a good job.

She is a beautiful looking person.

All beautiful because your subject is beautiful. Interestingly, she is the type of person I would find the most difficult to approach. I must try it some time.

Why difficult? Because she is American and young and trendy and black?

I do get self-conscious when photographing someone I have chosen to fit a hole in my demographic!!

I like this one - the tight framing/glasses/reflection/perfect teeth combo pack a real punch. Nice one, Ann!

Difficult only because she is trendy which is right out of my league. Certainly not because she is American, they are so 'out there' and fun -- I really enjoy Americans. And I hadn't really thought of her as being black, just tanned.
