Peter 020 - Jess

Jess and Wade were buying olives for a bit of a Sunday afternoon bash. She didn't want to have her photo taken because she didn't have any make-up on, but after I told her it was her arm I was mostly interested in she happily obliged.

I'm still trying to cope with daylight saving! I set my posts for 8:00, but they turn up at seven!

I think this is my favourite (by me) shot to date.

Very impressive. Really like it. Think I would like to have seen more of the tat.

I deliberately cropped the tat as well, although it was very pretty, I think it would have ended up as a picture of a tattoo, with a girl in the background.

The trick will be to build on this one I think!

Yes, stylistically, there is growth evident here, Peter. You are gradually redefining a portrait. And this is what I know to expect now. The delicious aspect of this portrait is that it defies the mainstream: here is a woman who is proud of her size even though she wanted the makeup. Here is a woman who does not seem fazed by your attraction to the tatt rather than to any vapid concept of beauty.

I love this ... but I would wouldn't I?

Yes. I like the cropping on this one. I see you've hit the magic 20.

I think 100 will be the only magic number in this project!

No no no no no ... look at your feet, not the horizon!

What direction do you want to take? If the Tattooed-Lady is the epiphany-point, what instructions do you want to convey to your feet!

Forget the bloody numbers. Little JH worked by numbers and look where that got us!!

Julie, I've missed you terribly you know!

Hope you had a great time, you've certainly come back firing on all cylinders! :-)

It's OK, there are many more steps in our journey of a 100 leagues, and every one of them will have it's own aventure.

I'm not sure that I've got to epiphany-point yet, I'm just dipping my toe in the the bay round the corner!

Yes, that is how I sort of feel, Peter. I am heading somewhere, just not sure where. The relationship between scarey and exciting is sooo close!

I feel a very long way behind the both of you. You are both far better photographers than I am. I am very much hit and miss.

I have tried to stay away from this comment all day, Ann. The first sentence may be true. The second one is not true in my head. The third one may be true but usually it is because the project is pushing you into uncharted waters.
