Ann 30/100 - Arthur and Gordon

Was going to use the full length but when I got them on screen I preferred the other.

Interesting the varied things that attract each of us about our subjects. For me the interest here is the codger on the right and the pipes across his lap. I agree that the smaller image is much "busier". Somehow these two chaps dont come across in a photo; not like the three Italian ladies the other day who were pleased to be in each other's company. Maybe this is just a bloke type friendship!

Pssst ... the big three zero!

Where to from here: technically and compositionally?

They probably aren't even friends, just band members. I did want the bagpipes which was what attracted me to them but I didn't like the way their faces had come out in that one.

Where to - don't really know. Not sure when I'll get around to taking some more - I've got a lot queued. Definitely in Adelaide with the SLR but that's not for a few weeks. I really want to get back to the SLR. Trouble is I don't want to leave it so long that I lose confidence. At the moment for some reason I'm just not in the mood for photography (too busy planning and booking an o/s trip). I find I'm looking at people now and thinking, no, you don't hve an interesting face.

I think I'll keep doing a mixture of head, head and shoulders and context, depending on what I think suits the person. If I can I take all 3 anyway and use the one I prefer.

Ooh ... o/s trip ... where to where to ... you seem to like what I regard as exotic ... 'fess up ... where yer heading?

You have a few queued ... I am totally dry even for this morning ... I am flat chat and dont get out at lunchtimes anymore ... and on the way home yesterday it was raining and blowing a gale ... I'll see what I can do on my way to work ... although it is dashed cold right now at 6am .. think it is meant to rain ... hard ... today ... have a feng shui talk on this evening .., might be fruitful.

I know what you think about "interesting face" ... that has been happening to me for a while now ... choosey ...

I'm glad you're both "looking for faces", I don't feel alone now..... I'm glad I had a break as well, I think.

I'm looking forward to those new trip photos later in the year though...
