Ann 64/100 - Muse

This was a grab shot of this little Ethiopian boy I saw running around and bashing at the drums. It was only afterwards that I thought to ask his parents (who are white so presumably he's adopted) if they minded me taking his photo - "of course not, this is Womad". Its that kind of place. (His name is pronounced Mooser.) Shame about the little feet at the top, when I download Elements I'll have a go at removing them.

Downloaded the trial of Elements. Its not perfect (the top right corner is a bit strange) but for a first try its pretty good. There's so much in there that I definitely need to buy a manual.

Nice shot, Ann. I think this is the first one any of us has posted of a child alone.

By the looks of the sticks, he is giving those drums a right work out.

I am off to the zoo later this arvo, so will see what I can find in such an interesting "context".

Pretty good! Pretty good!! Bloody terrific more like!!!

I think what you have left is the shadows on the grass. So ... what did you do?

Used the clone tool to clone the grass over the bits I didn't want.

I'll definitely buy it when the trial runs out.

I love this shot and am glad you are working with PE. It is helpful for removing the occasional defect that otherwise spoils a great photo.
