Ann 65/100 - Delia and Hero

I think these are my favourites of all that I've taken so far. Sheer chance. I came back to my spot under a tree, turned around and saw Delia cuddling her little girl. I think they work in b&w as well. Occasionally you just know you've got something.

These are quite remarkable, Ann.

Firstly, the splash of light is just right. The warm and affection that you have captured is wonderful. The reflective one where Delia is looking straight into the lens is great. The kiss and the response from Hero is superb shooting. To get it just at the point ... so good.

I agree: they work just as well in B&W as they do in colour.

Bravo!

oops ... two more things ...

Were they taken with the dSLR or the P&S?

Did you use burst or whatever that is called? Six shots in 3 seconds ... you know ...

SLR, doubt I would have attempted this with the p&s, they were moving around and the response time is too slow. Not continuous shooting, just single shot. I forget that I can do continuous. I did take 10 or so shots at various focal lengths.

With your Meanderings: I reckon you should increase the size of the image.

Would need to change the template, can't do it on that one. I like that template, it took me ages to find one that I liked, not to mention the time it took to format the banner pic to fit. I would need to go to one of the wide templates.

Okay ... ready for this ... take a deep breath ...

On the Customise button you can adjust just about everything in your existing template. I adjusted the width of my post panel and my side panel.

It involves working a bit in html but only to the extent of searching for the relevant line and changing an existing piece of data.

What is the template that you currently use?

Rounders 2 - I have absolutely no idea where to start to do that. I am quite technologically illiterate.

No probs ... would you LIKE to increase the size of the images that you are able to post on Meanderings?

If you think you would like to, I will have a look at Rounders 2 over the next coupla days and work out a series of instructions for you.

I would providing it isn't going to throw out the rest of the template.

Yep ... understand where you are coming from.

I will keep that in the back of my head whilst I do some digging around. Come back to you on this toward the end of the week and let you know if it is feasible ... and how hard or easy it will be ...

Also ... thank you for the images with Eric. One I like particularly much. I have to go back to the images on my camera. As such they were nothing to write home about - impact of the blasted sun - but maybe I can crop bits out that might be acceptable.

Such beautiful pictures! If I was Delia I would be getting them framed.
They show a private moment really candidly but without being intrusive... if that makes any sense. I think "sensitive" is the word I'm looking for! Congratulations.

I truly love the first B&W one.

Love it to bits!
