Julie (67/100) - MG6 - Cooking up a storm

The cafes, Asian take-aways and pubs along the route of the Mardi Gras parade do a roaring trade during the afternoon and evening. John was readying to welcome the mug-punters to his establishment once the parade had begun to pall. This was quite a mass of onions that he was frying and the snags smelt delicious.

Good one. I like the way you've captured the flame. Shame the background isn't a bit more blurred but sometimes, I find it just doesn't, even if I use the lowest aperture, something to do with the focal length I think. Still it gives a sense of the atmosphere.

I like it too, if it'd been a little later in the day, you would have had "Ray"!

Yes, I thought of that when I saw Ray. I would have liked to try to get the flames reflecting in his face.

You know that line of yours once you have it right THEN take another 5 steps forward? I need to take them like a crab doing a barn-dance.

Shall leave you to work that out ... off to hear Adam Spencer at the ARchibalds.
