Valerie was dancing to the 60s rock band with her daughter, Jaiya. I took these photos without permission and in the interval scanned the audience to try to locate them. After scrambling up to their picnic area, I asked Valerie for permission and promised to email her the photos.
The first shot was taken with a diffused flash from back on my picnic rug. For the next bunch I went down to the edge of the dancing swarm - hence the brighter light. I think I was on P. I would have liked to have used M on this S3 but there were too many variables for my brain to cope with. To get the look on the baby's face would have been to die for ... but I would have had to take that step sideways that always seems to end up in the duck pond ... or something.

I wonder if the first one would work in b&W with increased contrast?
It might but the background might make it all too dark. Give it a try. Its a beautiful shot, such a shame the baby isn't looking towards you.
The baby was entranced by the old-time rock'n'rollers up on stage ... plus the lights, the lights and the general noise!
Nah ... that's a fizzer. I prefer it in colour.
Look at the love in her eyes. I think it's amazing you could capture that.
