Brenda was concerned. She had just had her hair cut and she did not have any money. She continually raised herself to a tottering standing in her wheel-chair. Each time, I went over and eased her down again. I tried to reassure her that the cost would go on her monthly bill. When this fell on fallow ground, I told her it had already been paid. She asked me how I knew that! Brian told me ...
Brian is actually the head day-time nurse, but the expression linked in nicely with the legendary Brian Henderson reading the Channel 9 news at 6pm.

Next time I go in for a social event (rather than to specifically visit me ole da), I will take a tripod to avoid using the flash. It is particularly unflattering on these wonderful people. They were all so pleased to have their photos taken, and were smiling (weakly) and tinkling their fingers at me.
Heart breakingly sweet ...
I don't like using the flash either - it gives people a pallid complexion and glazes their eyes. Sounds like you had a great time - I'm enjoying this series.
I know I'm sounding like a broken record - 50mm F1.8 lens (or the even faster one if you can afford it). See my photo of Noor from a week or so ago - indoors, no flash.
