I like the folly comment. In many of my portraits I try to get to some sort of inner core, often to the hurt that is buried.
That is the journey anyways. To see beneath the adornment. And to be able to see when adornment is all that person is.
There is a good chance that you will like one of the Theme Days mooted in the near future. Which is to choose your favourite photographer and try to follow his/her style.
