Peter 069 - Ralph

Ralph isn't a stranger, but he is an eminent Architect, Landscape Architect and author, which perhaps explains a bit of what this photo is about.   I snuck up on him while he was working at his dining table, and I thought the reflections of the front lawn, the trees from the creek visible through the kitchen window beyond, the drawings on the table and the signature corrugated iron wall were just all too conveniently placed to waste.   So here's Ralph, a somewhat ghostly apparition in his socks, loving what he's doing.

(Thought I'd use a different mould for this one)

Bloody shatters the mould, boyo! But very cleverly ... sneaking in all that biographical stuff ...

In his socks and with a dreaded dit-dit machine in his hand! I googled him. He has some lovely queenslanders on that site. I think I am correct in not using a capital.

It was rude of me not to include any links!

Ralph's company (or mostly former company);
Guymer Bailey Architects

and it seems that books on gardening with rainforest plants are reserved for those with an avid interest, although most Landscape architects I know have a copy (as do I!)
Gardening with Australian Rainforest Plants.

How is the weather in sydney? ;-)

What a strange photo, I find it slight discomfiting. I see where you have explained how the reflections are working and I know the bit on the right is an architectural feature but it just looks really odd, as if it doesn't fit and you've glued the photo to a backing sheet with the stripes on it. Not that it isn't a goog photo, of course.

Ahha ... a goog photo ... that would be one that has been sieved through google ...

As as for that muttering bloody pom ... that was a guess ... the no capital ... otherwise how are we to distinguish between queenslander the house and Queenslander the person ... ahha got it ... call them banana benders!
