Julie (57/100) - Forever England
I chose this image as the main one as this is a shape that is more pleasing to the eye as the subject is given room to inhabit the space. However, I have focussed on the b/g instead of the subject. Naughty ... and daft! Not certain why the grass is so splotchy - it is certainly not like that in reality. I wonder if I forgot to alter the ISO from 1600 from the image I posted yesterday which was shot immediately prior to this one. Love the green grass reflected in the glasses though.

You are getting very good at figuring out your own problems. However the reason for the blotchy grass is a mystery to me too. A shame about the focus, it would otherwise have been an excellent shot.
I am going to do another snap around the quad and see if I can improve the result. I need to remind myself as I shoot what the SUBJECT of the image is ... But I am getting there ... with the thinking as I shoot ... I can feel that I am getting there ...
Always thought 1600 was supposed to be too fast for hand held. I wondered why she was so soft focussed. That approach can work if you have something intersting in the background to focus on but I'm not sure that it does here. LIke the composition, you know I'm a big fan of horizontals.
Tried again today with my S3 which I got back from bloody HN on Saturday. Only took them10 weeks to repair it.
But I had forgotten some of the settings and it came out in silhouette with the background in white sun. Have binned that one ...
what a good play of perspective ... seems like a phone or a pencil .. what she's holding.
