I like that first image a lot, Ann. And the stats look fine to this inexperienced eye.

In the second image, I like the chap on the left leaning on his fist. But once again, you have captured the indoor light really well with no camera shake.

Goodo .. progress is nice when it is obvious, yes?

I have some of my ferris wheel shots going up just after lunch today.

I seem to have this lens pretty well sussed for inside and night shots, not so good on outside in daylight. Mind you, inside and night shots is why I bought it. Getting my ferris wheel shots printed today, interested to see how yours came out.

Oh golly ... I forgot that he wanted some prints for class!!

I dumped a lot of mine ... shall hunt through this evening and see if I can give him something to discuss. I think he wants ones that did not work as well as ones that did. I find that I learn more from the stuff-ups ...

Dad and I went to this terrific playground at Sydney Park (newtown/St Peters) yesterday which I will put on the Eye later this week. Many opportunities to do panning most of which I stuffed. But learnt a lot.

The majority of mine worked. I was mainly trying to see the effect of different shutter speeds with the movement of the wheel. Had a bit of a problem with overexposure when using the small lens handheld. Thing is, I'm not sure how or why they worked, although I knew the effect I was trying to get.

PS. I'm pretty hopeless at panning, can't keep up with the movement.
